Caroline Tucker graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Maxwell School.

With a Bachelor's Degree in broadcast journalism, political science and a minor in economics, Caroline began her journalism career at her hometown newspaper, the Skaneateles Press.

Interning at WSYR, Caroline was also a reporter for WSYR Radio from 2001-2002, a runner for ABC News at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, intern for ABC News in Washington D.C., field producer for State of the Union coverage in 2005, before coming to Channel 7 in November of 2006.

She has several acclaims to her work, including Syracuse Press Club's Best Radio Public Affairs 2005 for her piece on "Coming Together for a Safer Syracuse" and the New York State Broadcasters' Association 2008 award for Outstanding Spot News-"Police Standoff".

While at 7 News, one of Caroline's favorite stories is Cemetary Sleuths: Two local people who spend their time uncovering the histories behind NNY's sometimes hidden cemetaries.  The couple is on a quest to document every headstone in the area in order to preseve history. 

  According to Caroline, "That's one of the many stories that I love to cover because it truly represents the best of the North Country and the people who live here."
