Helen Condon will offer a two-part rug braiding class at The TAUNY Center on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, April 29, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

An experienced rug-braiding teacher and 2004 recipient of TAUNY’s North Country Heritage Award, Condon will provide all the materials and instruction necessary to braid a full-sized, 2 ½ by 4-foot oval rug.

The cost of the two-session class is $100 ($80 for TAUNY Friends), plus $150 for the materials needed to create a full oval rug. Participants may select a color scheme for their rug in advance by choosing from the options on Condon’s website – adirondackrugbraiding.com – and contacting TAUNY with their choice. Space is limited; pre-registration and payment in advance are required by calling TAUNY at (315) 386-4289 or emailing programs@tauny.org.
