Event Description

The Village of Sackets Harbor will be celebrating Arbor Day 2012 on Friday, April 27th, 2012 at 6 p.m. with a tree planting at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield Historic Site (near the Hill Street Parking lot). We are planting this tree in as part of our War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebration. The Mayor of Sackets Harbor will declare April 27, 2012 ARBOR DAY in Sackets Harbor and we will also hear from Constance Barone, Site Manager – Sackets Harbor Battlefield Historic Site about the Bicentennial celebration and Kelly E. Reinhardt, Chair of the Sackets Harbor Tree Committee regarding the planting of 58 trees in Sackets Harbor this year.
