The Cape Vincent American Legion Auxiliary Unit 832 will sponsor two military related movies to be shown at the Cape Vincent Community Library, 157 N. Real St. Cape Vincent, the week before Memorial Day. Two Oscar-nominated and Award-winning movies have been selected: 2011’s “War Horse" is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22nd and "Flags of Our Fathers" (The life stories of the six men who raised the flag at The Battle of Iwo Jima) on Thursday, May 24th. Each movie each will start at 6:30 p.m. and runs slightly over 2 hours. There is no charge for these showings however a modest donation to the Library and/or the Cape Vincent Arts Council would be welcomed. For further information, call 654-2132.
