2012 marks the seventh year for Hankfest. This year’s event will be on Saturday August 11 from 1-5 pm at Ives Park. The BirthPlace at Canton-Potsdam Hospital will benefit from the generous donations collected. Not only is there a great line up of musical acts but Hankfest also offers door prizes, raffles, and kids games.

A new feature this year will be craft and other vendors set up to offer a variety of items including clothing, jewelry, paintings, and other gift items. In addition, The Potsdam Rescue Squad will be on hand at 2:30 pm for tours of the squad vehicle.

The musical line up this year includes Oshier Country, Troy O’Brien, Classic Country, Country Percussion Group, and Larry Holly.

The event provides wonderful country music in the gazebo in Ives Park in and is family friendly. Rosie’s Hawg Dogs and Scoop’s will provide concessions.

Current President Gregory Bouchard founded the Official Potsdam Charity Hankfest Group. The Group was formed for the express purpose of hosting an annual country music festival better known as Hankfest, in honor of Hank Williams Sr. and to fundraise for a local charity or non-profit organization.
