The Orchestra of Northern New York’s spring concert includes a tapestry of American history: Bernstein’s great adaptation of the iconic story of Romeo and Juliet set in mid-1950s New York City and a celebration of the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and The Emancipation Proclamation with Copland’s powerful Lincoln Portrait written for Orchestra and Narrator. In addition you will be the first to experience Paul Siskind’s World Premiere Flute Concerto commissioned for the Orchestra’s 25th Anniversary Season by Dr. Luis Canales.Return to event list.
