The Art of Winter; Call for Artwork! The Thousand Islands Arts Center is seeking artists of all ages, and skill levels working in any medium for its annual exhibition celebrating winter in the North Country. The exhibit‘s theme is to encourage appreciation of the great scenic beauty and unique character of winter in Northern New York. Artists may submit up to two pieces of work. The deadline for submissions for the Art of Winter Exhibit is Saturday, January 26, 2013. An entry form is available online at www.tiartscenter.org. The Art of Winter will be on display in the Arts Center galleries, 314 John Street in Clayton, from February 1 – March 30, 2013. There will be an Opening Reception on Friday, February 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. This event is open to the public.
The Arts Center is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
The Thousand Islands Arts Center is home to a nationally renowned collection of handweaving and textiles, and offers a wide variety of classes for both children and adults in pottery, fiber arts, jewelry making, drawing, writing, painting and photography, all year round.
