Location: Carthage Free Library

Event Description

April is fine forgiveness month at Carthage Free Library. We are joining with the local V.E.M. Food Pantry in Carthage in the Feinstein Challenge, which offers matching funds for food items or money donated for the Challenge in April.

If you have late fees on your books, bring them into the Library during April, with a non-perishable food item (check to be sure it has not expired!) and we will wipe out your fines on Carthage Free Library books and movies.

If you donate one food item, we will wipe out $4.00 worth of fines; two food items wipes out $8.00 in fines and if you donate three food items, we forgive $12.00 of fines.

Take advantage of this chance during April to do away with library fines and help V.E.M. Food Pantry double the money raised with a matching fund donation from the Feinstein Challenge to fight hunger in our community.

Carthage Free Library is open from noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, from 10:00 a. m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
