IRLC Hosts Bushwacking Walk at Boyd Pond

The Indian River Lakes Conservancy has recently purchased a 54 acre tract including a 25 acre pond near Redwood where it plans to construct a handicapped accessible overlook trail and accessible canoe/kayak dock for free public use.Return to event list.
On Saturday June 29 at 10 a.m., rain or shine, the public is invited to attend the IRLC annual meeting at the site of this proposed project.. Refreshments will be served while board members present a brief overview of the IRLC programs and plans for the trail and dock. Then attendees will have an opportunty to join a guided bushwacking walk along the flagged routes of the proposed Boyd Pond overlook and water access trails.
Please call Dani Baker at 482-3663 to reserve your slot for the annual meeting and hike.. Wear appropriate clothes and footwear, and bring your own chair.
Directions: Boyd Pond is approximately 3.4 miles down Cottage Hill Road from its intersection with NYS Rt. 37 in Redwood. Parking will be on your left just past the intersection of CR 21 (on your right) with Cottage Hill Road.

The IRLC is an all-volunteer not for profit land trust dedicated to preserving the land and waters of the Indian River Lakes region for the benifit of the community and future generations.
The IRLC is seeking support from community groups, businesses, and individuals to complete this project for all to enjoy.
