Event Description

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RUMSPRINGA ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS:

RAYMOND - THE AMISH COMIC
Friday, August 23, 2013 at 8 PM
North Side Improvement League, 633 Mill St., Watertown, NY

Raymond the Amish Comic
will be bringing his unique style of stand-up comedy for
ONE NIGHT ONLY to benefit THE CLINIC FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN, STRASBURG, PENNSYLVANIA.

The Amish Comic has been performing stand up comedy for
the past twenty-one years and has developed a cult-like following,
mostly in Pennsylvania. (No surprise there.) Most of his fans have
seen his show many times and love to bring their friends to see
him for their first time.

Newcomers often suffer from the notion that they will be subjected
to a lecture about Amish history, customs, and activities, but in truth
The Amish Comic's got a mouth on him that might make a sailor blush and he really
doesn’t do any farming jokes.

The Amish Comic's love-hate rants about technology, fast food, and prescription drugs
just might leave you wondering why an Amishmen has EZ-Pass, tweets, and plays Candy Crush
and (maybe) you don’t!

Amish Comic is famous (infamous?) for being buzzed off Season Five of America’s Got Talent
in an unprecedented five seconds.

He was chosen to perform entr'acte in the Sony Entertainment Workshop Production of the
Gong Show Live off-Broadway.

Amish Comic has appeared in the National Geographic documentary "Amish Out of Order,"
on Comedy Central, MTV's "7 Up and Out," and in several television commercials.

He played "Skeptical Amishmen #87" in the Tim Allen film “For Richer For Poorer” (and received $25 extra dollars a day
during filming for having his own beard!)

He has appeared live on stage with Ian Anderson as part of the “Rubbing Elbows with Ian Anderson" tour.

He’s a regular guest on the WZZO-Radio morning show "Bearman & Keith," and has appeared on "The Miserable Men,"
and "The Opie and Anthony Show" on Sirius FM.

Raymond the Amish Comic's first DVD, “For the Love of Rumspringa” is currently in production.

This will be Raymond's first appearance in Northern New York. The show will be presented in a cabaret setting, with
all legal beverages available. The show lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Tickets are on sale now by calling Randal Corbett at 315-DADDY99 (323-3999) Tickets are $15 in advance and
$20 on the night of the performance.

After expenses are met, a substantial portion of the profits will be donated to the Clinc for Special Children.
