The New York State Builders Association (NYSBA), in conjunction with SUNY Canton's Career Ready Education and Success Training (CREST) Center for Workforce Development, will offer safety specialty training for construction site workers and supervisors.Return to event list.
A two-day Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) construction site safety course will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 7 and 8 at SUNY Canton's Nevaldine Technology Center South, Room 133.
The course will provide an introduction to OSHA standards and general health and safety provisions. Other topics will include personal protective equipment, tools, scaffolds, cranes and conveyors, excavations, and stairways and ladders.
Upon completion, participants receive a safety training card, which does not expire. New York State requires all construction site personnel to attend the OSHA 10-hour training for state-funded construction projects in excess of $250,000.
