Event Description

Leaves are falling off the trees fast throughout Jefferson County filling many residents’ yards and ending up in bags along the streets. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County wants to put those leaves to good use.
The first annual Leaf Exchange will be held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County office, located at 203 North Hamilton Street in Watertown, on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Instead of putting leaves out on the curb for pickup Composting Educator Sayre Stevens will hold a drop off event where residents can bring their clean bagged leaves where they will be used to create compost.
For more information on the event, or to schedule an educational visit to an area business or school, contact Sayre Stevens at 315-788-8450.
