As we approach the holiday season, many of us carry heavy burdens. These may be burdens of grief and loss, health problems, financial difficulties, concerns for the world, for a loved one in the service or the daily demands of life. During the holiday season, feelings of grief, sadness and anxiety often become more acute, and in a season when excitement and expectations are high, we may feel isolated in our pain. Acknowledging these feelings opens our hearts to also experience comfort and hope.Return to event list.
All are welcome to come for a simple service of songs, prayers, Bible readings, and meditations. We will light candles to symbolize our prayers and the memory of loved ones. As the room fills with light, the truth that Jesus came to transform the darkness will bring light to our souls.
We invite you and your families to this service of healing and hope.
The United Church of Madrid is located on the corner of State Route 345 and Cross St. The church is handicap accessible.
