Event Description

The Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT) is inviting kids to the write about “nature news” at TILT’s new Otter Creek Preserve, just outside of downtown Alex Bay. Local Thousand Islands Sun editor Sarah Riddoch will teach the basics of journalism, using the natural world as inspiration. Kids can then work individually on a "news-worthy" story of life in the wild to share with the group if they want. Directions for parking at the Otter Creek Preserve will be provided. Snack will be provided. KidsTrek participants must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for outdoor play. Space is limited, so sign up early.
