Does my time in the Army give me a tax break? How long do I have to use my education benefits from my service time? How do I find out if my service-related injury qualifies me for medical care? Is there any support available to help me take care of a Veteran? These questions are often raised by Veterans and their Families. There are many agencies within the North Country dedicated to supporting Veterans of the present and past conflicts providing information on new, increased, or retroactive benefits to Veterans and their Families. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, 23 May, 2014, the Fort Drum FMWR Soldier and Family Assistance Center will host a Veterans’ Information Day at the James W. Wright Community Room in the WPBS building at 1056 Arsenal St., Watertown, NY. This Information Day will bring together Federal, State and non-profit organizations in one location to provide a face-to-face interaction between Veterans, their Families and Survivors.Return to event list.
