Event Description

Do you love math?
Volunteer to help an adult learn math skills.

Literacy of Northern is training volunteers about how to teach math skills to adults who need help with the basics: subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percents and word problems. We assess students to determine what skills they need to work on and provide the books and materials free of charge.

Date: Monday, May 5
Time: 10 am – 12 pm
Where: Key Bank Conference Room, 3rd floor, 200 Washington St., Watertown, NY

Registration is required by calling 315.782.4270 or email literacyvolunteers@verizon.net

There is no cost to attend the training.
Volunteers who successfully complete the training are matched up with one adult who needs help with math skills. Tutors meet their students in public places.
