We are hosting a benefit/memorial for a retired wounded Army vet and volunteer firefighter EMT, who recently passed away after battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer. We are trying to help his fiancé with funeral cost and to honor his memory. SSG James ‘Jim’ Bennett served in both Afghanistan and Iraq wars in multiple deployments, suffering multiple injuries in combat, receiving multiple purple hearts yet refused to give up, retiring after 26 years. He loved to help out so much that he became both a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Evans Mills FD for over 15 years. Jim was one of the greatest men you would know and would do anything for anyone. The memorial is May 18th at Evans Mills Fire Hall from 1:00 PM to 7:00PM. There will be pot luck food, music and karaoke. Please Contact Anna at 315-783-8931 or James at 315-771-3255Return to event list.
