Stop by the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site on Sunday July 4 to celebrate American traditions – living history, cannon firing, a concert and fireworks! The cannon will roar at the Battlefield’s Navy Yard at the end of Main Street, starting at 2pm.

The Sackets Harbor Historical Society’s Sunday concert features Adirondack storyteller and musician Bill Smith and master fiddler Don Woodcock. The concert is from 3pm to 5pm in the Memorial Tree Grove.

Enjoy a tour of the Commandant’s House at the Navy Yard between 10am and 4pm. Children 12 years and younger have FREE admission! Visit the Site’s gift shop and War of 1812 gallery in the Lieutenant’s House. See the Site’s videos about the history of the Sackets Battlefield Site and the “Battle of Sackets Harbor.”

Relax with the breathtaking view of Black River Bay while waiting for the annual Fourth of July village-sponsored fireworks at dusk (9:30pm), capping off with a BANG this Independence Day at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site.
