Donald F. Brothers, 71, of MassenaMassena - Donald F. Brothers, 71, of State Highway 56 passed away at Massena Memorial Hospital early Monday morning (January 21, 2013) surrounded by the loving care of his family. Donald was born on November 15, 1941 in Massena the son of Leeward and Evelyn (Erlingson) Brothers. He graduated from Massena High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served his country during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged. He married Jean Hall on May 27, 1978 at the Canadian Riverside Heights Lutheran Church with the Rev. Pam McGee presiding. Donald was employed at Alcoa for 39 years. He is survived by his loving wife Jean H., a son Kevin of CA, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Alec both of CA, a brother Gary L. and wife Shirley Brothers, a sister Elaine Fournier both of Massena, also surviving Donald is a sister in-law Pat and husband Glenn Beckstead, a niece Kim Kirkwood and godchild Paige Kirkwood all of Morrisburg, ON, Canada, along with many nieces and nephews of Massena.
