Karen Marie Beckstead Jandreau, 54, of MassenaMassena – Mrs. Karen Marie Beckstead Jandreau, 54, of 47 Brighton Street, suddenly passed away Friday evening, January 11, 2013 in the emergency room at Massena Memorial Hospital. Karen was born September 8, 1958 in Massena, the daughter of the late Robert Dean Beckstead and Jeanne Rusaw Beckstead Tyo. She graduated from Massena High School in 1976 and attended Mater Dei College. On February 14, 1987, in a joint ceremony with her mother and step-father, Reginald Douglas Tyo, Karen married Mark Allen Jandreau at the Massena Town Hall with Justice Sylvester Hayden, officiating. Karen was a homemaker and was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandson, Noah. Karen is survived by her loving husband, Mark; two children, Amanda and William Ayotte of Massena and Bryan and Courtney Beckstead of Tarboro, NC; her three grandchildren, Peyton and Gavin Beckstead of North Carolina and Noah Beckstead of Massena; her sister, Debra and Michael Olmstead of Rochester; her brother, Robert Beckstead of Massena; and her step-siblings, Gary, John “Jackie”, and Reginald Tyo and Judy Durant. Karen is also survived by an aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Irene Jandreau of Norfolk. She was predeceased by her father, mother, and step-father, Reginald D. Tyo. There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
