Albert “Al” Robinson Sr. and Georgia Robinson of Route 180, Town of Brownville
Albert “Al” Robinson Sr. and Georgia Robinson of NYS Rte. 180, Town of Brownville died in a motor vehicle accident May 3rd at 9:45 a.m. in the Town of Oswegatchie.
Albert was born July 9, 1950 in Watertown, the son of Charles and Elizabeth Young Robinson. He attended Watertown High School and served a short time in the Marine Corps in 1967.
Georgia was born October 29, 1954 in Constableville, N.Y. the daughter of Irvin and Charlotte Snyder Seelman Sr. She attended school in Constableville.
The couple was married September 1, 1973 in Watertown. They moved to North Carolina where Al was a truckdriver for several companies which included Winn Dixie, Terminal Trucking of Concord, N.C.
Georgia was a certified nursing assistant at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home in Gastonia, N.C. until retiring due to ill health.
The couple moved back to this area in 2006.
Surviving children are Ellen Brock of Brownville and her companion Dave Peebles, Mrs. Donald (Tammy) Layne of N.C., Sharon Robinson of N.C., Albert Jr. and Paula Robinson of N.C. and six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Al is survived by his father, Charles of Watertown, brothers and sisters: Thomas and Carol Robinson of Maine, Robert and Charmaine LaJuett of Texas, Richard and Elizabeth Gaston of Tennessee, Charles and Melissa Robinson of N.C., Robert Robinson of Watertown, Timothy and Sally Robinson of Watertown.
He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth.
Georgia is survived by her step-father Warren Hopseker of Chaumont, brothers and sisters: Roy and Donna Wayland of Michigan, Leonard and Sharon Zaffarano of Gouverneur, Bonnie Patterson of Watertown, Sandra Kline of Bath, Severin and Karen Hopseker of Macedon.
She was predeceased by her mother, Charlotte, and brothers Warren Jr. and Harrison Hopseker.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
