Ann Ruff, 82, Formerly of Norwood

Norwood - Graveside services for 82 year old Ann Ruff, a resident of the Highland Nursing Home and formerly of Norwood, will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Norwood. There will be no calling hours.

Mrs. Ruff passed away late Sunday evening at the Massena Memorial Hospital.

Ann is survived by her daughters Mary and Ronnie Miner, Massena; Lyla Chase, Potsdam; her five grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a sister Daphne Cohen, California.  She was predeceased by her husband Lyle, two daughters, Helen Frego and Penny Ruff.

Born in Norwood on September 13, 1930 to the late Gordon and Dorothy Pernice Billings, she married Lyle J. Ruff on December 31, 1951. He passed away on March 17, 2007. Ann worked as a laborer at various restaurants including Violi’s  Restaurant in Massena. Ann loved baking with her grandchildren, knitting and crocheting.
