Antonio J. Alaimo, 61, passed away on May 1, 2012 in Syracuse at the VA Hospital.
Antonio's last place of employment was with the St. Lawrence Seaway as a security guard.
Born on December 2, 1950 in New York City, NY, the son of Anthony and Patricia (Rocque) Alaimo.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968-1969.
Antonio is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons Christopher and wife Yancy of Massena, daughters Angela Alaimo of Massena, Nicole Alaimo of TN, a stepson, Derrick and wife Bridget Wells of Madrid, sisters: Connie and husband Pat McCaffrey and Cathy Losey both of Massena, eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Antonio Alaimo.
Antonio was a life member of the VFW in Massena, member of Marine Corp League, past member of American Legion, 3rd Degree, Knights of Columbus past member of Massena Rescue Squad for 14 years. He loved watching war movies, cooking, assembling model airplanes, drawing and socializing.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 12 to 2:00 pm at Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St. Massena. Services will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
