Arthur C. "Archie" Parish, 77, Badour Rd., Fishers Landing, passed away Thursday evening, May 24, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.

The memorial service will be Thursday, May 31, at River Community Church, 38844 Bartlett Point Rd., Clayton, at 11AM with Rev. Thomas Augliano officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Clayton.

He was born in Watertown on March 9, 1935, son of Rolland and Grace Boulia Parish and was a 1953 graduate of Watertown High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1954.

He married Jean Russell Kearns on November 15, 1997. Two previous marriages ending in divorce.

Archie worked for various restaurants and resorts in the Thousand Islands area and had also worked as a sales manager for Northrop Motor Co., Watertown. He was a member of the River Community Church, Clayton and the Elks Lodge #496, Watertown. In 1999 he was inducted into the Red & Black Hall of Fame, playing in the 1950's and early 1960's. At Watertown High School he was a four-sport athlete: swimming, wrestling, track, and football. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

 He was the national spokesperson for Canada Dry and introduced Wink soft drinks. Besides being called Archie, his other nicknames included The Fox, The Ace, and A. C.

Besides his wife, Jean, he is survived by his two children, William R. Parish and wife, Diane, Orlando, FL and Kristin Parish Turan and husband, David, Syracuse; six grandchildren, William R. Parish, Jr., Christie Parish, Shane Carr and wife, Sarah, and Danya Stambolia, all of Orlando, FL, Samantha Louise and fiancee, Brian Struzyk, Durham, NC, and Brian Turan, Syracuse; two great grandchildren; and his aunt, Audrey Sanderson, Watertown.

The family requests donations be made in his honor to to a charity of one's choice.
