MASSENA – Mr. Barry M. Perry, 61, of Butler, PA and formerly of Massena, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 4, 2014 at St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars, Pennsylvania after a short illness.

Barry was born October 9, 1952 in Massena, the son of the late Robert and Kathalene Ryan Perry.  He graduated from Massena High School and attended Canton ATC for a short time.  On January 8, 1975, he entered the US Army serving until his honorable discharge on January 18, 1978. 

Barry was an over-the-road tractor trailer driver for many years and also worked construction at one time.  He truly enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and was an avid movie watcher.

Barry is survived by his sisters, Beverly Robinson and her companion, Gordie Cross of Louisville; Linda and Richard Reeves of Anderson, South Carolina; his brother Joseph P. and Leeanne Perry of Oswego; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Barry was predeceased by his brothers, David L. Perry on February 4, 1988 and James A. Perry on March 18, 2006; and an infant sister, Judith Perry in 1942.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.  A graveside service will be held later in the summer at Hopkinton-Fort Jackson Cemetery.
