Beatrice H. Bellinger, 72, of Heuvelton
Funeral services for Beatrice H. Bellinger, age 72, of Heuvelton will be held on Wednesday (Nov 21, 2012) at 6:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Nichols officiating. Her place of rest will be Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will also be held on Wednesday (Nov 21, 2012) from 3:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Bellinger passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday (Nov 18, 2012)
Surviving are two sons Donald Bellinger & his wife Michele of Ogdensburg, Ronald Bellinger & his wife Pam of Heuvelton; two daughters Lisa Gushea & her husband Michael of Heuvelton, Becky Bellinger & her companion Duane Downing of Macomb; three brothers Francis Trombly & his wife Judy of Madrid, Clayton Trombly Jr. & his wife Pam of Morristown, Larry Trombly & his companion Carol Fox of Heuvelton; two sisters Mary Lou Witherell & her companion Earl Johnston of Heuvelton, Pat O’Donnell & her husband Dave of DePeyster; eight grandchildren Benjamin Gushea, Deanna Bellinger, Katherine Crawford, Joseph Crawford, Benjamin McKeever, Tabitha McKeever, Michael St. Dennis & Todd St. Dennis; four great-grandchildren Mason, Michael, Esther & Torin and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Beatrice was born on April 17, 1940 in Massachusetts, a daughter of Clayton & Verna “Helen” (Shoen) Trombly. She attended school in Heuvelton and later graduated from Canton Central. She married Ronald F. Bellinger on July 16, 1960 in Heuvelton. He predeceased her on June 11, 2009.
From 1961 – 1988 she and her husband owned and operated a 300 acre farm while they raised their children. She then went to work at McCadam Cheese Company, The Heuvelton Deli, and drove school bus for both Heuvelton Central School and CDP (Community Development Program) for several years. She retired in 2009.
In her retirement years, she enjoyed volunteering at many church functions, shopping on the home network channels, crossword puzzles, arts & crafts, spending time at her winter residence in Florida, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, cooking for family functions where she enjoyed entertaining her family and spending time with them.
