Born in Pyrites on January 30, 1927 to the late Bert J. and Edith Paro Robert, Peanut falsified information to enlist into the U.S. Army at the age of 17 after his family found out that his brother George was listed as missing in action. After he served his term, Peanut continued and finished his education and married the late Barbara H. Collins in May of 1948. Barbara passed away in 1974. He later married Carole D. Myers Curry on August 24, 1989, who just passed recently.

He worked in the construction industry for many years, working for Local 277 out of Watertown. He was also self-employed, owning Hannawa Trucking. He was a life member of the Canton VFW and a member of the Newtown Falls Sportsman Club.

Peanut enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, tending to his gardens and his lawn and working with wood, especially making cabinets. He loved following his children and grandchildren around, enjoying all of the activities they participated in.

Memorial Donations in his memory can be made to the West Potsdam Fire Department or the SPCA in Potsdam.
