Beulah Adelaide Lazore, 95 of MassenaMs. Beulah Adelaide Lazore, 95, of 38 Talcott Street, peacefully passed away on Saturday evening, July 28, 2012 at Massena Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Thursday. She had recently been a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home.
Beulah was born September 16, 1916 in Hogansburg, the daughter of Louis O. Jr. and Margaretta Herne Lazore. She attended Massena schools. She worked as clerk and receptionist at Massena Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1983 after 25 years of service. During World War II, she volunteered as a Price Panel Assistant. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching mass on television.
Beulah is survived by several cousins including, James, Jerry, and Michael Cook, Phoebe Curran, and Hilda Herne.
She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Harry M. DeHollander on March 4, 1975; her parents, Louis and Margaretta Lazore; and her grandparents, Louis and Philomena (Armstrong) Lazore and Julius and Millicent (Garrow ) Herne.
Friends may call Wednesday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Scott D. Fobare, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
