Funeral services for 44-year old Mr. Brian Matthew Caster of Malone will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam with Rev. Patricia Lennox officiating. Burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Parishville will follow.

Friends may call at the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the St. Lawrence County Chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, c/o Lynn Matott, 149 River Road, Gouverneur, New York 13642. Brian died at his home on May 18, 2012.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Ida and Glenn Foster of Hannawa Falls, a brother Joseph Hooper of Canton, his step-grandparents, Curtis “Bill” and Shirley Case of Canton, step-brother and sister Larry and Carol Case, a special great-aunt Lillian Lasher, and cousins

Brian was born in Potsdam Sept. 28, 1967 the son of William Theron Caster, and Ida S. (Hooper) Foster. Brian was pre-deceased by his father, and his grandparents, Roy and Beatrice (Greenwood) Hooper-Case.

Brian worked at ARC in Malone where he loved his job. Brian attended Potsdam High School where he graduated in 1986. He attended his 25th graduation reunion last July. He collected model cars, enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and attending the Malone County Fair where he loved to watch his brother Joseph participate in the demolition derbies.

Arrangements are with the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.
