Cheryl L. Lambert, 59, of CopenhagenCheryl L. Lambert, 59, County Rt. 69, Copenhagen passed away Wednesday morning, August 8, 2012, at her home with her family at her side. A memorial service will be held at Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown on Saturday, August 11, at 11AM. There will be no calling hours. Cheryl was born in Utica on June 3, 1953, daughter of Ambrose and Doris McDonald, and she graduated from Holland Patent High School. On June 3, 1989 she married Ronald D. Lambert at Asbury United Methodist Church in Watertown. She worked as a secretary for various trucking companies, including Yellow Freight and DairyLea, and then for Midstate Tech before beginning her career with BOCES. For 23 years she was the purchasing secretary for them in Watertown. Cheryl attended Smithville Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was her husband, Ron, her horses, Dee and Cowboy, her dog, Foofie, and her cats, Tom, Jerry, and Peanut. She was a member of BRVHA and the Pinto Horse Assoc., where she was Champion in 2010. Besides her husband, Ron, she is survived by her son, Henry J. Poczatek and wife, Krystal, Holland Patent; her daughter, Amy Craver, Madison; five grandchildren, Corey, Barbara, and Ashley Craver and Kole and Chase Poczatek; her great granddaughter, Nevaeh Millington; her three brothers, Wayne McDonald, Prospect, Darryl McDonald, Camis, WA, and Stephen Fear, Stittsville; her sister, Susan Norman and husband, Rick, Remsen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father and his wife, Ambrose and Ruth McDonald, and her mother and her husband, Doris and Leonard Brower. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to either Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham St., Watertown, NY 13601 or Smithville Baptist Church, 14157 County Rt. 75, Henderson, NY 13650. |
