Cynthia E. Fobare, 62, & Paul E. Fobare, 68, of Rensselaer Falls

Funeral services for Cynthia E. Fobare, age 62 & Paul E. Fobare, age 68 of Rensselaer Falls, NY will be held 1:00pm Saturday April 28, 2012 at St. Raphael’s Church in Heuvelton with Rev. Jay Seymour officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ogdensburg.

Calling hours will be held on Friday April 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.  Cynthia died Tuesday (April 24, 2012) and Paul died (April 25, 2012) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by their family.  Both had been in poor health.

Surviving are their children Kelly Mouthorp and her husband Roderick of Norwood; Kevin Fobare & his wife Michele of Heuvelton; Cynthia’s brother Charles Bates & his wife Sarah of Canton; Paul’s brother Eugene Fobare & his wife June of Rensselaer Falls, his sisters Alice Carr of Waddington and Eleanor Winslow of Marcellus, NY; grandchildren Dakota, Hannah & Madison Mouthorp and Sabrina & Skyler Osuch.

Cynthia was born on April 7, 1950 in Potsdam, NY, a daughter of William & Lucy (Taber) Bates.  She graduated from Madrid Waddington High School and continued her education at the Roethel Business School and Canton ATC. 

Paul was born on March 6, 1944 in Ogdensburg, NY a son of Charles & Ethel (Lemoureux) Fobare. 

The couple was married on August 26, 1972 at St. Raphael’s Church in Heuvelton.  Cynthia was a homemaker and assisted with the operations of the family farm. 

She enjoyed making jewelry, playing cards & bingo, traveling, reading, puzzles, going to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Paul worked as a farmer all his life and enjoyed gardening, cooking, carpentry, hunting, playing cards, garage sales, auctions, going to the casino, fixing things and making wine.
