Philadelphia - Daniel E. Doubleday, 71, South Main Street, died January 3, 2013, at his home while under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Born November 21, 1941 in New York City, NY, he was the son of Robert and Anna King.

He married Charlotte Booth on May 26, 2002.

Mr. Doubleday was employed with Fowler Construction for twenty five years and retired from Beam Mack in Watertown as a mechanic.

He enjoyed animals, working on vehicles and motors in his garage, doing yard work.

Surviving besides his wife, Charlotte, are a daughter, Tammy Carpenter, Syracuse; a step daughter and her companion, Tina Watson and Robert Edington, Philadelphia, NY ; a step son, Tim Wioncek, Boston, MA; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Tantalo, FL; and three brothers-in-law and their wives, Larry and Sharon Booth and Phillip and Krista Booth, all of Philadelphia and Peter and Cathy Booth, Antwerp.

The family will receive guests from 5 to 7pm on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the  Robert Markwick American Legion Post #798, Philadelphia.  Burial will be at Childs Falls Sunrise Cemetery, Philadelphia at a later date.
