David A. Clark, 68, of CantonDavid A. Clark, 68, of Canton, died February 18, 2013, at his home. The Allen-Denesha Funeral Home, DeKalb Junction, is entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2 PM; at the Hermon United Methodist Church, Reverend Thomas Jones officiating. David is survived by his wife, Anne E. Clark, daughter, Liza G. Clark, Canton, son, Joshua W. Clark, Japan, father and mother in-law, Michael and Betty Carr Marino, Canton, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brothe,r Gene Clark, a sister, Pat Druri, and Edwin Peterson. Born on February 7, 1945 in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of Norman and Jaqueline Fick Clark, he attended Bemidji State University, Minnesota, and graduated with a bachelors’ degree in Applied Psychology. He married Anne Fish on March 24, 1981 in Watertown, South Dakota. David was a Lay Pastor for the Seven Steeples United Methodist Churches (Degrasse United Methodist Church, Hermon United Methodist Church and Russell United Methodist Church). He was a member of the Madison Musician Association. He loved to help and mentor troubled teenagers through his work as a substitute teacher at St. Lawrence Central School. David’s life’s passion was being on stage, singing, playing the guitar and preaching the Word of God. He took the time to reach out and touch the people he encountered in his daily life.
