Dianna “Dingie” Cronk, 66, of Dexter
Dianna “Dingie” Cronk, 66, Dexter, went with the angels to be with the lord surrounded by her loving family on Friday June 8, 2012 after a long illness at Samaritan Medical Center.
Service will be held at Reed and Benoit Funeral Home Watertown. Calling hours will be Monday June 11 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a service immediately following officiated by Father O’Brien of Immaculate Conception Brownville. A burial service will be held at Honeyville Cemetery in Adams, NY at the convenience of the family. Dianna was born on March 20, 1946 to Gordon and Mabel Dona of Watertown. She attended school in the South Jefferson area. Dianna married the love of her life Andrew B. Cronk, Jr. on July 14, 1973 shortly after their marriage they settled on the banks of the Black River in Dexter. She worked several odd jobs before becoming a full time mother of seven children and homemaker. Dianna enjoyed spending time outside taking in the views of the river. She also was an avid card player and enjoyed going to the casino with her sisters. She most enjoyed being in the company of her large family and spreading laughter with everyone. She is survived by her loving family including her husband and her seven children, Andy III (Leanne), Gretna VA, Alan (Josie), Theresa, Rosie (Andy) Hatch, Sackets Harbor, Shirley Tibbles, Dexter, Jeffrey (Doris), Dexter, Gordon (Krista) Brownville, and Lee-Ann (Travis) Taylor Watertown. Also, surviving are her three sisters Helen Tharp. Goose Creek S.C., Sandra Kriff, Sackets Harbor, Barbra (Eddie) Hubbard, Seneca Falls. She was also survived by her beloved eighteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was welcomed into heaven by her mom and dad, brother Gordon “Sonny” Jr., sister Shirley Sturtevant, son in law Albert Tibbles, brother in laws Lloyd “Spike” Tharp, and Herbert “Herbie” Kriff. In lieu of flowers Dianna would like donations to be made to the Immaculate Conception Church PO Box 99, Brownville, NY “The mother is everything - she is our consolation in sorrow, our hope in misery, and our strength in weakness. She is the source of love, mercy, sympathy, and forgiveness.
