Donna P. Bordell, 71 of WatertownDonna P. Bordell, 71, Maple Court Apts., Watertown, died Sunday morning, July 29, 2012, at her home. Calling hours will be held at Brownville United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 4, from 9:30 - 10:45AM followed by the funeral service at 11AM with Rev. Patricia Walz officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Arrangements are with Cummings Funeral Service, Inc., Watertown. Mrs. Bordell was born in Watertown on December 18, 1940, daughter of Donald and Dorothy Mayhew Pierce. She graduated from General Brown High School in 1958. A marriage to W. Michael Johnson ended in divorce. On May 24, 1968 she married Terry Bordell in Brownville, who predeceased her. Donna was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She worked for eighteen years as a teacher's aide for General Brown Elementary School. She was a member of Brownville United Methodist Church, a former member of its choir, and was an avid NY Yankees fan. She is survived by her five children, Liann J. Crisp, Apple Valley, MN, Richard M. Johnson and wife, Jean, Norwood, Karin S. Cronk and her fiancee, Bob, Carthage, Mark A. Johnson and wife, Helen, Clermont, FL, and Terry G. Bordell and wife, Candi, Albany; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; her brother, Jeffrey Pierce, Watertown; her sister, Janet Cooper, Ft. Edward; her half brother, Donald Pierce and wife, Beth, FL; her two half sisters, Mary Lou Furman and husband, Howard, Henderson and Denise Crast, Owego; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donations may be made in her name to either Brownville United Methodist Church or to American Cancer Society. |
