Eric Spencer Sr. passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 at the Hospice Residence of Ellis Farm, Watertown, NY. He was 47 years old.

Eric was born February 15, 1966 in Bridgeton, N.J. to Mr. & Mrs. Leon Raymond Spencer. He later met and married Tonja on March 2, 2006; however the couple has been together since 1994. Eric and Tonja re-located their small family from Albany, GA to Carthage, NY in 2009 where he took a job with Metro Paper Industries as a certified forklift operator / warehousemen.

Those who knew Eric will always remember him for his love of family, friends, dancing, music, BBQ'ing, fishing, billiards, football, basketball and boxing. Eric was a member of the Jefferson County Billiards League ~ Metro Paper Ind.

Eric leaves to mourn his wife Tonja Spencer, NY; mother Shirley Palmer ~ Spencer, PA; three brothers, Curtis Palmer, NJ, Leon Spencfield, PA and Laurence Spencer, NJ and two sisters: Veronica Surrency, NJ and Clydette Spencer, NJ.

He also leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Erica Watson ~Jackson, NJ, Christyl Jenkins, Fla. and  Bri’Annah Spencer, NY., and a step - son Daryl Hennix, Jr.,NY. Further to mourn are his grandchildren, Te'Onye Watson, N.J., Nevaeh Hennix, N.Y., Ayshia Hennix, C.T., Nyah Hennix, C.T. and Bentley L. Hennix, N.Y. along with a  host of truly loving in- laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, step siblings and friends.

To all of those who were blessed to have known my husband “Eric,” you know that he was a truly caring, loving and supportive man. He worked/played hard at everything he did and always provided for his family. Eric was also quick to help out a friend. He will also be remembered for his fun, witty sense of humor, his wonderful smile, his AMAZING BBQ and especially his kind heart.

Eric is predeceased by his father, Leon Raymond Spencer; his son, Eric Spencer Jr.(infant) and his daughter, Ty' Annzah N. Spencer (infant).

No local public services are scheduled at this time per Mr. Spencer’s wishes.
