Mr. Floyd D. Wilson, 85, of 80 Liberty Ave, passed away Wednesday evening, June 19, 2013 at Fletcher-Allen Health Center surrounded by his loving family. He had been ill for the past three months.

Floyd was born March 18, 1928 in Parishville, the son on the late Walter and Amanda Lottie Wilson. He attended schools in Parishville. On April 7, 1947, he married Mary A. Konkoski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Floyd worked in the pot rooms at Alcoa for 24 years until retiring due to disability in 1970. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, having belonged to the Sylvan Fall Hunting Club. He also enjoyed four-wheeling, spending time with his grandchildren, and truly enjoyed the Christmas holiday.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his seven children, David “Bo” Wilson; Linda Kennedy and her husband, John, Kathy “Kitty” Clark and her husband, John, Connie Castleman and her husband, Pete, Dawn “DeeDee” Deshane and her husband, Ronnie and Kim Wilson, all of Massena; and Floyd S. “Willy” Wilson of Chase Mills; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Floyd was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Sunday 1-3 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where a celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held privately at Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
