Harold E. Kilburn, 64, of Calcium
Harold (Butch) E. Kilburn, 64 of County Route 32, Calcium, died Thursday afternoon at Samaritan Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Butch was born February 12, 1949 in Watertown to Austin and Eleanor (Porter) Kilburn. He attended Watertown schools. He worked at Mercy Hospital for 10 years, and at Samaritan Medical Center for 19 years, as a plumber in the maintenance department, until he became disabled in 2002.
Butch was a long time member of the Calcium/North Pole fire department. He won many waterball championships.
He was known as "Boo" by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He married Diane Hermann on May 7, 1983. They enjoyed 30 years of traveling, spending time with family, their cats, and each other. He was previously married to Judith Muncil Post.
Butch was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting, his cats Sam & Buddy, photography, cooking, traveling and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife Diane are a daughter, Heather E. (Earl) Goodrich, Evans Mills; a son, Benjamin Kilburn, Watertown; a daughter, Nicole (John) Hoselton, Dexter; a brother, Austin "Doc" (Anne) Kilburn, Watertown; four sisters, Mary (Pat) Fitzsimmons, Clayton, Penny (Larry) Tanzini, NC, Flo (Tracey) Young, Ellisburg, and Suzie (Jerry) Fobar, TN; five grandchildren, Rae, Emily, Aden, Madelyn, and Gracelyn, many nieces, nephews and friends, whom he loved dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday August 20, 2013 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Rev. Jonas Tondayu officiating. Calling Hours will be Monday August 19, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
