Henrietta E. Geisendoerfor, 99, of Redwood, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Samaritan Medical Center, where she had been admitted November 10th, 2012.

Henrietta was born on August 11, 1913 in Natural Dam, NY, the daughter of Carl and Anna Humphreys Geisendoerfor. She graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1931 and St. Lukes School of Nursing in New York City, graduating in 1933.

She became a registered nurse, working for several different hospitals, including the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City where she served as a nurse anesthetist .She loved to travel, and worked as an RN in Hawaii for a time.

Henrietta is survived by her sister, Marguerite Dingman, with whom she resided.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at the Gouverneur Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Redwood Rescue Squad.

Local arrangements are with Costello Funeral Service, Alexandria Bay.
