Ian L. Cross, 56, native of Louisville
Louisville – Mr. Ian L. Cross, 56, of Newnan, Georgia and a native of Louisville, unexpectedly passed away May 8, 2013 at Piedmont-Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia.
Ian was born January 29, 1957 in Cornwall, Ontario, the son of the late James A. “Bud” and Dorothy Banks Cross and was a graduate of Massena Central School and was active on the Cross Country Team while there.
On January 1, 1977, Ian entered the US Army, where he served until his honorable discharge on February 6, 1981 while stationed at Oakland Army Base in Oakland, California.
Ian was an X-Ray Technician first working in Texas before going to Newnan Hospital in Georgia, where he retired. Ian had a great fondness and love for all animals.
He is survived by his siblings, Dorothy and James Martin of Louisville; Geraldine and Richard Debien of Suffolk, Virginia; Douglas Cross of Gutenburg, New Jersey; Donald and Kathy Cross of Suffolk, Virginia; and Gordon Cross of Louisville; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 26th at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena. Burial will be held privately in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery in Ingelside, Ontario.
