Irene F. Beach, 71, formerly of LowvilleRome – Irene F. Beach, 71, of Floyd Avenue, formerly of Lowville, died Friday morning at Rome Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville, with Rev. Dan Tabolt officiating. Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the funeral home.

Irene is survived by two children, James Cyrus Larkins, of Lowville; Vanessa Boshart of Thomson, GA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ada Drelick of Lowville; Shirley and Ronald Youngs of Castorland; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by a daughter, Joan Louise Larkins, who died shortly after birth.
Irene was born on April 10, 1941 in Albion, NY, a daughter of Frances Marolf Hamlin, and was adopted at the age of 18 months by Gladys and Cyrus Church, whom she called Mom and Dad.
She graduated from Lowville Academy in 1959, and married Amasa Larkins on September 1, 1959. Irene worked as a nurse’s aide for Carthage Area Hospital during the 1970s until the mid-1980s. After many years, her marriage to Amasa Larkins ended in divorce. She married Louis Simmons. He later died. She married David Beach, who passed away shortly after their marriage.
