LOWVILLE- Jean M. Dosztan, 84, of River Road, Lowville, died on Thursday afternoon, May 10, 2012 at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.

Calling hours are from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  A graveside service will be at Noon on Friday, May 18, 2012 in the Beaches Bridge Cemetery.  Contributions may be made in in Jean’s name to Lewis County Search and Rescue, 7782 West State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Patricia Dosztan of Lowville; three sisters, Judy Adams of Lowville, Rosalie and Gary Merry of Maryland, Nancy and Doug Logan of Arizona; two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, a great-grandson, 12 step-great-grandchildren, four step-great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She is predeceased by two brothers, Zane and Alfred Carlston; and four sisters, Sally Hanson, Beverly Marolf, and Bette and Rosemary Carlston.

Jean was born on December 10, 1927 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late George and Pauline Prame Carlston.  She attended Lowville Academy.  She worked at J.J. Newbury in Watertown, before her marriage. 

On April 7, 1945, she married Andrew Albert Dosztan Jr in Watson, NY.  He died on  April 23, 1991.

Mrs. Dosztan was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting.
