Kerstin V. (Pettersson) Moot, Adams Center, passed away Thursday, November 7 at Samaritan Medical Center. She was 76 years old.

Born in Sundsvall, Sweden on July 10, 1937, she was a daughter to Otto and Olga Stridsberg Pettersson. She was raised and educated in Sweden. After immigrating to the United States, she moved to the north country where she raised her family.

Kerstin received an associate's degree from Jefferson Community College in nursing. She worked at the House of the Good Samaritan as a registered nurse until her retirement in the 90s.

She enjoyed reading, family, sailing, hiking mountains, playing the piano, and Agatha Christie novels.

Surviving are her three children, Carl M. Moot, Adams Center, Karin (John) Quillinan, Cicero, Brenda Moot, Syracuse; two grandchildren, Peter Catalfamo, Syracuse, Malarie Gokey, New York City; a sister: Boel Pettersson; a brother, Lennart Pettersson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by two sisters, Lena and Gudron Pettersson.

Calling hours will be Thursday, November 14, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
