Kristen M. MacDonald, 42, of Academy Street, Watertown died unexpectedly Thursday evening at her home.

Mrs. MacDonald was born April 4, 1970 in Watertown to Earl J. and Helen M. (Wetsig) Garnsey. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1987 and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Accounting at Jefferson Community College.

Mrs. MacDonald worked as an accounting clerk at JTPA (which is now the Workplace) until  becoming disabled. She married Jeffery MacDonald in 1996 in Watertown.

Surviving are her husband Jeffery, her mother Helen, three children Jeffery, Jr., Maryssa and Marla all of Watertown, a brother Timothy (Teasa) Garnsey, two sisters Judith Garnsey and Cynthia Garnsey all of Watertown. three step brothers Earl Garnsey, Jr., Schenectady, NY, Frederick (Katherine) Garnsey, Watertown, Richard Garnsey, Gainsville, FL. and a step sister Deborah Garnsey, Seattle, WA.

She was predeceased by her father Earl, a brother Joseph and a step brother Dale.

A Gathering will be Monday January 7, 2013 at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
