Linda L. Cruikshank, 65, of Ogdensburg
Funeral services for Linda L. Cruikshank, age 65 of the Randall Road in Ogdensburg, will be held on Wednesday (Feb 5, 2014) at 11:00am at the First Congregational Church in Lisbon.
Burial will be in the spring at the White Church Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (Feb 4, 2014) from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Cruikshank passed away Saturday (Feb 1, 2014) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are two sons Brian and his wife Janelle and William “Billy” both of Ogdensburg; three daughters Mrs. Brian (Tina) Pray of Jay NY, twin daughters Mrs. David (Susan) Rosen of Clifton Park NY and Sandy Cruikshank of Ogdensburg; her mother Mrs. Marion Hess of Ogdensburg; two brothers David Hess & his wife Kim of Carthage NY, Michael Hess & his wife Nancy of Lisbon; father-in-law Wendall Cruikshank & his wife Braunda of Waddington; nine grandchildren Adam Pray, Bradon Toomey, Brandon Cruikshank, Makayla Cruikshank, Bradley Pray, Deanna Rosen, Tristen Cruikshank, Matthew Pray and Alayna Rosen; special cousin Sharon LaVigne of Heuvelton along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband W. Allen Cruikshank in 2009 and her father Charles Hess in 1979.
Linda was born on February 27, 1948 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of Charles A. & Marion (Pierce) Hess. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1966 and married Wendall Allen Cruikshank on Dec 17, 1966 at the First Congregational Church in Ogdensburg with Rev. John Huber & Rev. Donald Alnatt officiating.
She enjoyed playing games on her I Pad, bowling, shopping at Kohl’s, making maple cream, syrup and candy out of the “Cruikshank Sugar House” gardening, canning and her dogs Chance & Daisy. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Lisbon, Lisbon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Ogdensburg Women’s Bowling League. Linda was an excellent mother and grandmother who passionately enjoyed her family. She will be best remembered for her kind and compassionate heart, as well as her thoughtfulness to others.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Congregational Church in Lisbon or the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.
