Marie R. Stenoski, 46, of CarhageCarthage - Marie R. Stenoski, 46, of 811 Alexandria St., died Thursday morning, November 29, 2012, at her residence, where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Marie was born in Carthage on January 27, 1966, the daughter of George and Sharon Gokey Schermerhorn. She was a 1984 graduate of Carthage Central High School. She married Robert W. Stenoski on October 5, 1991 in Champion. For several years she was the assistant manager for the Urban Mission in Watertown. Recently she worked at Dollar General in Carthage. She is survived by her husband Robert W. of Carthage, two daughters: Aarika Borisevic of Fort Drum and Brooke Shafer of Texas, one son: Nicholas Stenoski of Carthage, three grandsons, Carson and Hudson Borisevic and Maddox Brimeyer, a granddaughter, Quinn Borisevic; her parents, George and Sharon Schermerhorn of Carthage, a sister: Georgie O'Shaughnessy of Carthage and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. A sister, Jane Schermerhorn, predeceased her. In keeping with Marie’s wishes, there will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, December 8th at the American Legion in Carthage at 6:00pm.
