Mary Jane LaFlair, 79, of OgdensburgFuneral services for Mary Jane LaFlair, age 79, of 510 Deviller St. Ogdensburg, will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be at Notre DameCemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. LaFlair died Wednesday morning January 16, 2013 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. LaFlair is survived by two sons, Richard and his wife Debbie, and Dr. Christopher and Dr. Tracy LaFlair; two daughters, Norma and her husband Robert Catlin and Tammy and her husband Jamie Kinch all of Ogdensburg; two brothers, James and his wife Katherine of Bedford , Indiana and Donald and his friend Ruth of Chittenango, NY ;seven grandchildren, Alexis and Luke LaFlair, Scott and Andrew LaFlair, Cassie and her husband Shane Rand, and Eric and Heather Catlin; three great grandchildren, Kelsie, Sophie and Regan and also many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sons, David Robert and John Paul in infancy, a sister, Norma Drolet and one grandson, Jamie Kinch. Mary Jane was born on December 12, 1933, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Elton and Helen Lalonde Bromley. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and Mrs. Wallace Business School. On June 25, 1955, Mary Jane married Richard LaFlair with the Rev. Msgr. A.D. Charrboneau officiating. He predeceased her on August 13, 2004. She first went to work for Augsbury Corporation and later became Ultramar where she was a bookkeeper and then she went on to work at Ames Department Store and then Trivilino’s Bakery and retired from Price Chopper. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and reading as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.
