Mary M. Cook, 91, of 173 Dorsey Street, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2013, at Samaritan Medical Center.

Mrs. Cook was born April 11, 1922, in Watertown a daughter of Fred and Anna Fiaschetti Mangini. She attended Watertown High School.

On November 15, 1942, she married LeRoy Cook at St. Anthony’s Church with Rev. James F. Quinn officiating. Mr. Cook died August 26, 1944.

Mrs. Cook was a sales clerk for Empsall’s Department Store, McDonald’s Dress Shop, Casual Classics and the Children’s Shop, retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Mrs. Cook was a member of the Italian American Civic Association and a former member of the American Legion. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, homemaking and tv.  She was especially close to her cousin, Theresa Puccia.

Besides her husband, her sister, Rita Mangini, died before her.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held Saturday at 10:15 am at the funeral home with a funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church at 11 am with Reverend Donald Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
