Morris F. “Tiny” Trahan, 81, 615 Hancock St., passed away Tuesday at Hospice of Jefferson County.

Mr. Trahan was born May 17, 1932, in Watertown, a son of Henry and Lydia Boyd Trahan. He attended Watertown schools and later received his GED.

Between 1949 and 1955 he was enlisted with the United States Army, serving in the Korean War  with the C Battery 753rd AAA Gun Battalion serving as reconnaissance.

On September 8, 1956, he married Clementina Luciani at Holy Family Church with Reverend F.J. Beyette officiating.

Mr. Trahan was a timekeeper for the New York Air Brake Co., retiring in January of 1990. He also was a musician who played guitar, bass, saxophone, and sang all styles of music. He was a past president of the Musicians Union #734.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and a former communicant of Holy family Church. His memberships include being a life member of the VFW and NSIL and a former member of the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and bingo.

He and his wife traveled throughout the United States. Mr. Trahan was a regular at Moe’s Diner for coffee. He was well liked and had many friends.

Surviving besides his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Johanna, of Poestenkill, NY; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tim Carr, of Roanoke, VA.; two grandsons, Christopher J. Carr and Alexander M. Trahan; step brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.

Calling hours will be Friday form 4 to 7pm at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:15 am at the funeral home with a 10 am funeral mass at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, with Reverend Vincent Freeh officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
