After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Patricia Henry Reff of Watertown died on Wednesday, June 26.

Patricia Henry Reff was born in Potsdam on January 25,1935 to Joseph G. Henry and Agnes Savage Henry. Patricia graduated from Potsdam High School in 1952. She worked for the New York Telephone Company in Potsdam.

She married Charles Edward Reff of Clayton on April 7, 1956 who also worked for the New York Telephone Company.

She was a daily communicant of Immaculate Conception in Brownville, and served as lector, Eucharistic Minister and sacristan for over 45 years. She was also a religious education teacher and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, as well as several other organizations including Liferight of Watertown, Telephone Pioneers and past director of Jefferson County Right to Life.

She is survived by her beloved husband Charles, her five children; Theresa Rose Smith, wife of Thomas Smith of Winthrop; Christina Marie Corey, wife of David Corey of Watertown; Yvonne Frances Reff of Watertown;  Martin Gerard Reff, husband of Caroline Kennedy Reff of Syracuse and Michelle Ann Lamon, wife of Charles Lamon II of Dexter.

She has been blessed with 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her sisters; Genevieve Hafer of Potsdam and Mary Hourihan of Potsdam. Patricia’s brother, Joseph Henry and parents, Joseph and Agnes died before her

Calling hours will be on Sunday,  2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dexter.

The funeral mass will be on Monday at 11:00 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
